About Pam

Namaste, I’m Pam.

Today I live in Galicia, in the north of Spain, with my son, at Shakti Rio Miño, our home and retreat centre by the river.

For more than 25 years, yoga, meditation and spiritual practice have been part of my life. This is the story of how I got here.

The early search

Is this all there is?

At 18 I went to Tenerife, and later my life took me high above the clouds as a flight attendant. I loved seeing the world and meeting so many different cultures.

But there was a quiet voice inside me asking, is this all there is? After losing my father when I was 14, questions about life, about the unseen and about our connection to the people we love kept coming back. That search led me to the Brahma Kumaris, and my spiritual path really began.

Becoming a teacher

2003, and 40 new students

In 2003 I completed my Sivananda Yoga teacher training. Almost straight away I was given 40 new students to guide, and I discovered how much I love teaching.

I wanted to go deeper, so I went to India.

15 years in India

Guruji Dev Baba

I lived and practised in India for 15 years. I met many teachers and masters along the way, and studied for five years with Dr Zhi Gang Sha and the Institute of Soul Healing.

But it was my beloved Guruji, Dev Baba, who touched my heart from our very first meeting. I received Guru Diksha from him and was initiated into Ancient Himalayan Kundalini Kriya Yoga. For the next 15 years I studied under his guidance. Today I still meditate with him every week online, and I am honoured to carry this lineage forward.

More than two decades of teaching

Sharing the practice

I have been teaching for more than two decades now, in India, across Europe and online. Studios, retreat centres, groups of friends, people who have never practised before.

And what I love most has stayed very simple. I want people to feel the practice in their own body.

Motherhood and Galicia

A new beginning

In my late 40s, in meditation, I received the guidance that I would have a son and make Galicia my home. Within four months my son was on his way.

Around the same time I found a finca in As Eiras, beside the river Miño. With a lot of patience and the support of my family, it became our home.

A home by the river

That home became Shakti Rio Miño, a retreat centre honouring the divine feminine power, Shakti, by the river. It is where I live with my family, and where I welcome people to practise, breathe and simply be.

What has grown from the practice

The Full Seven is the body of work that has grown from my years of study, practice and teaching. Ancient Himalayan Kundalini Kriya Yoga is now at the heart of it.

For me it has always been about experience. You can read about peace and understand spiritual ideas in your head. But when you breathe, move and sit in stillness, you feel it for yourself, in your own body. That is what I would love for you.
